With “Things that leave me sleepless”, a lecture performance by Gernot Wieland
in English at 4.30pm & Bar!
Sunday, 26 February, 2012, 4 - 7pm
In his works, Gernot Wieland (b. 1968 in Horn, Austria; lives in Berlin) creates through memories and fiction his own kind of “scientific” approach. As an important aspect of his working practice, his lectures bring together historical reports, personal recollections and scientific data and thereby develop stories between exciting sobriety and tragic-comical incidents. Based on the leading question of the group show HOTAVANTGARDEHOTHOT about avant-garde(s) today, the artist has written a special lecture performance, in which he combines plotlines about the desire of a restart as well as the relevance of heroes.
